Exciting news for all of those who are looking for a way to zap files from their PC onto their smartphones. shoutrDrive will take care of that from now on.

For a little while now we have been working on an app that makes use of the shoutr-framework in order to be able to connect desktop PCs and notebooks with mobile devices. We are calling it shoutrDrive because it lets you use your smartphone (or tablet) like a flash drive. Although with shoutrDrive you do not need to plug anything into your computer. Like shoutr BETA it’s wireless. If you have been looking for an easy way to get files from your smartphone onto your computer, or vice versa, this is the app to do it with. It is an early stage release, therefore, users will need to set up the connection manually for now. We have put together a short video (with some funky music) explaining how it is done. We are also working on desktop clients for Windows and Mac, which will be released shortly.
